MOLASSES CLOVE COOKIES
  • 3 c sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 c sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 c melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c molasses
  • 1/2 c quick cooking rolled oats
Preheat oven to 375°. In large mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cloves, ginger and sugar. Beat eggs and add to flour along with melted butter and molasses. Using electric mixer, blend until smooth. With a large spoon stir in rolled oats. Drop by teaspoonfuls 1" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes. Makes 6 dozen cookies
